What Do We Offer?
We offer a mix of theoretical and practical training. Theory is offered in classrooms and skills laboratory at LHI and practical sessions are offered in UTH, Chainama and various clinics in Lusaka as well as in rural clinics.
LHI also offers a three year training program to enrolled nurses interested to become a registered nurse.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Schooling must be completed.
- A minimum of 5 Credits
- Biology, Mathematics and English are obligatory
- Enrolled nurses also qualify for a three year training program at LHI.
Bridging the Gap
Our motto is Bridging the Gap, which refers to the following:
- Complimenting the government efforts in filling in the gap for shortage of well trained staff through provision of training.
- The institute aims to assist the government with increasing the number of trained nurses.
- Providing an afforable low cost training, where the gap in finances to operate the school is complimented by donors, private sponsors and government scholarships to enrolled nurses working in government clinics to upgrade their qualifications
